It seems we have a resident in the area - not exactly sure where it/they call home, though.
Three times now, I have seen a red fox. Once crossing the road, on its way down the train tracks, once in a field down by the bay, and once immediately beside the train tracks, right next to the main street in town. Gorgeous creatures, those. And it seems fairly fearless; last time it sat in the pile of concrete blocks looking at me from a distance of about 15 feet.
Hmm. I hope no-one bothers it. Live and let live (so long as there's no rabies issue).
